Northwestern Benefit is pleased to announce the addition of Mary Pozatek in the role of Wellness Consultant, beginning in April 2010.
In this role Mary will help our clients take a proactive approach to a comprehensive health promotion program. We believe programs that promote prevention and reduce health risks can yield valuable results. Mary is committed to assisting clients in creating a workplace environment that not only promotes healthy lifestyle behaviors, but that also empowers employees to take control of their health. Ultimately, we provide our clients the tools, resources and assistance to build successful, ongoing wellness programs.
Mary Pozatek is a Certified Wellness Coach and a Certified Athletic Trainer. She holds a Bachelors in Health Science, and a Master’s of Science in Exercise and Sport Science. Prior to her role at Northwestern Benefit, Mary was employed at a major hospital group in Jacksonville, FL as the Employee Wellness Program Coordinator for their 8,000 life group, comprised of more than 40 locations. In this role she developed, grew and sustained the employee wellness program. She was responsible for the development of departmental goals, objectives, and the organization’s multi-year wellness plan. Mary was also responsible for budget and purchasing decisions as relates to wellness. Additionally, Mary collaborated with various departments around the health system to create and enhance a culture of wellness, and she was a member of the Human Resources Leadership Group.
Earlier in her career, Mary was employed as an Exercise Specialist and Athletic Trainer. Mary has a passion for wellness and improving the health of employer populations. Please join us as we welcome Mary for new employee integration on April 13th!
